Weekly Update

Phew! What a week! Between preparing for Grandparent's and Special Friend's Day, getting excited for Daisy Days, and building a fort, we have been busy! April is always a month full of fun and excitement but it is busy. The girls have adapted well to the lack of a consistent schedule! 

To end the month, they will have the Moving Up Day with the Middle School next week! On Wednesday, April 30, the Fourthies will spend the morning in the Middle School for an orientation. They will leave the Lower School at 7:50 to attend a Middle School Assembly. Please make sure your daughter arrives by 7:45 next Wednesday!

Weekly Update

The girls earned 125 class compliments and are already close to the next goal of 150! To celebrate, they will build a class fort and play fun Gimkits. We will do this on Wednesday, April 23. The girls need to bring in a separate bag with a blanket and a pillow.

We have been busy this week getting back into curriculum as well as planning for Grandparent's and Special Friend's Day next Friday! As a reminder, your daughter is able to dismiss with their guests if they want.

• Make sure grandparents know their grandchild's grade and teacher beforehand 

• There will be limited parking - grandparents should get dropped off if possible

• Students will get dropped off at normal carpool time

Weeky Update

 

Thank you for all of your support of our musical! The girls did a fantastic job!!! Thank you to all the parents who helped behind the scenes with costumes, props, and make-up, especially Kim Joffe for her creativity with the costumes! Here are pictures that our marketing team took from the performances.

I have enjoyed meeting with so many of you for our spring conferences and look forward to more next week.

The Final Assembly will take place on Thursday, May 29 from 11:00 - 12:00. This is an especially important occasion for the Fourthies as they are being promoted to Middle School. There will be a short reception following for Fourthies and their guests. Please complete this form to let us know their full name as you would like it displayed on their promotion certificate.

St. Catherine’s Lower School is thrilled to host Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day on April 25. Please share this invitation with your daughter’s guests for the day and be sure to register by Monday, April 7.

This week has been all about rehearsing for our musical! It is progressing well, and we are excited to perform for you next week! 

While practicing, we have been working on identifying mixed numbers, writing our interview paragraphs, and creating magazine covers. The girls continue to enjoy reading Number the Stars and studying the sides of the Civil War in our social studies.
